For the people who viewed my blog 618 times yesterday, I am not being discharged today. I have filed an appeal with the NYS Dept. of Health, which has blocked the discharge pending a hearing.
Sometime in the next two weeks the DOH Bureau of Adjudication will send a judge from Albany to hear the case. The Iroquois is required by law to provide a safe discharge plan.
Hanging on the bulletin board beside my bed is the blue-covered decision from my last hearing with the Iroquois, which I won.
